Pour lutter contre les rougeurs au quotidien les laboratoires La Roche Posay proposent une crème de jour, présentée comme étant issue de la "science du microbiome".

Une formule, qui renferme effectivement un extrait, obtenu par fermentation d’un milieu de culture par une protéobactérie du genre Sphingomonas,¹ un microorganisme aux multiples facettes, allié de l’homme pour l’assainissement de milieux contaminés ou encore producteur de substances de nature polysaccharidique, capables de modifier la viscosité de certaines préparations comme la gomme gellane.^2-5

On sait également qu’il est possible d’obtenir du coenzyme Q10 ou de la biotine par fermentation bactérienne avec certaines souches de ce germe.^6,7 Si l’on change encore le milieu de culture, on peut obtenir un copolymère comme le poly(hydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalérate).⁸

Il parait donc difficile de savoir quelle est la composition de l’extrait incorporé dans le produit Tolériane, puisque l’on ne connait, précisément, ni l’espèce, ni son milieu de culture !

Passons… au laboratoire pour obtenir les résultats des tests solaires.

Le SPF obtenu in vitro par nos soins est de 38. Le facteur de protection UVA est de 21. Le produit peut donc afficher un SPF 30 en toute légitimité.

Qu’est-ce qui coince alors dans cette formule ? La présence d’alcool et le fait que ce produit est annoncé comme un soin quotidien, ce qui ne doit pas être le cas.

Ce produit est un produit solaire qui doit être réservé en cas d’exposition. Si l’on ne s’expose pas, il ne conviendra pas, car il n’est pas souhaitable d’exposer sa peau en permanence… aux filtres UV.
